Why is everything breast cancer awareness?
I just noticed that everything somehow squeezes in breast cancer awareness. they even have pink cows on farmville on facebook. why all of a sudden?? I think it’s great that people are finally seeing the message, but I’m just curious as to why now.
Originally the Estee Lauder company started the ‘Pink’ campaign 25 years ago. They wanted to help cancer patients, and have done a tremendous amount for us ever since.
However, sadly other companies have realised that this is a massive field, and have jumped on the bandwagon, so that survivors like myself are sick and fed up with the pink tat that is around about now.
What is even worse, here in Britain, is the cancer charities that follow the herd, and sell pink rubbish on their websites – one wonders how much of the amount raised actually goes to cancer patients.

Please don’t stop giving to cancer charities, but make sure you give where your donation will do the best – which is often for a small local cancer charity.
And I don’t want any fluffy pink teddy bears – I want mediclaly-proven skin creams that will sooth my ‘druggie’ skin caused by the cancer drugs.
